'Tis the Season to be sick

Reading everyone's blogs, it sounds like there is a lot of stuff going around. I am trying to look on the bright side thinking that this means we will all be healthy for the holidays. Sunday, I woke up with a scratchy throat. Monday my throat started killing me and I couldn't even eat or drink anything. Tuesday my throat was still hurting and IB Profen wasn't even helping anymore. Finally, Wednesday I woke up and went into the Insta-Care. The doctor thought for sure I had strep throat and so did I. He did a throat culture and I didn't have strep, but when he looked in my ear I had an ear infection. He gave me antibiotics and I am feeling a little better today, but now Areyan woke up with a cough and runny nose. I hope her cold doesn't get any worse. We have both already been cooped up in the house for 3 1/2 days, which to me seems like eternity!
