Growing Up

Areyan is really growing up these days. We have finally got her to start going to nursery by herself. It is a good thing too, because she will be in sunbeams next year. We are very proud of her! She has also finally given up her "binki." Now, for anyone that knows Areyan you probably know how big this was. She was very attached to her "binki". However, one day we were playing upstairs with the neighbor boys, and their mom was telling me how she got rid of their binki. She took them to Build-A-Bear and let them pick out their own stuffed animal, and put their binki inside the stuffed animal as part of the stuffing. Areyan was listening when she was telling me this and for the next day and a half was saying how she wanted to trade her "binki" for a bear just like Bryce. Finally, I gave in (I won't lie, I was a little nervous to get rid of her binki). We went to Build-A-Bear and she picked out this bear, named it Kelly, and said good-bye to her "binkis". She has done pretty well without them. She has had a little trouble falling to sleep without them, but last night we turned on the radio and let her listen to music to fall asleep and she did really well. I am very proud of her!
